Offenbach, 13 March 2026 - The new DUNLOP BLUE RESPONSE TG summer tyre has been awarded an overall rating of “Outstanding” by independent testers at Auto Motor und Sport, Germany’s leading automotive magazine for the European market. Securing the top spot in its latest comparison test, eight summer tyres in size 195/55 R16 were rigorously evaluated against each other, resulting in the all-new DUNLOP tyre emerging on top. Officially unveiled to European press and customers this week in Seville, BLUE RESPONSE TG is the first DUNLOP tyre to be produced by Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. (SRI) and has already achieved an exceptional result in its first major market test appearance.

The tyre delivered impressive results across all criteria. In the wet performance category, the DUNLOP BLUE RESPONSE TG scored nearly 10/10 in every discipline. Whether braking distance, lateral control or longitudinal aquaplaning, the tread pattern excelled in all areas.

This strong performance continued in dry handling, where the tyre demonstrated exceptionally balanced and powerful characteristics: three perfect scores of 10/10 and three scores of 9/10 underline the tyre’s high precision and safety. Particularly strong marks were given for braking distance, subjective handling and consistency over time. Testers were unanimous in their verdict: “Outstanding grip on wet and dry asphalt, precise and responsive steering and reliable lane-change performance. Safe, wide limit range.”

The DUNLOP BLUE RESPONSE TG was the only tyre in the test to receive the top rating of “Outstanding” securing a clear lead in the final rankings.
