DUNLOP showcases BLUE RESPONSE TG summer tyre at Seville driving event
This weekend, DUNLOP Tyre Europe GmbH (DUNLOP) will showcase its BLUE RESPONSE TG, an all-new summer tyre that represents the next level of safety, efficiency and driving dynamics. Emphasising the brand's position in the European market, the first Sumitomo Rubber Industries (SRI)-developed DUNLOP summer tyre will celebrate its premiere on the Circuito de Sevilla, one of the most technically demanding race tracks in Spain. With a length of 4.2 kilometres, 16 corners and an 822-metre straight, the circuit offers the ideal environment for testing the performance of the tyre. BLUE RESPONSE TG’s motto, “the art of perfect balance”, is a concept that will be exhaustively tested on the Spanish tarmac.
The driving event will offer a comprehensive experience that demonstrates the performance of the BLUE RESPONSE TG in a variety of scenarios. 120 customers, journalists and influencers will experience the programme, which includes dynamic slalom driving on dry and wet track. Braking manoeuvres with obstacle avoidance exercises will be carried out, giving a first-hand representation of braking performance. Handling tests will allow for a direct examination of cornering performance, steering response and precision against competitor tyres. A comfort and noise test will focus on rolling stability and noise reduction, while an efficiency test will demonstrate the reduced rolling resistance and low fuel consumption of the new tyre. The programme is rounded off by guided tours on public roads and laps on the race track, giving participants a deep insight into the dynamic characteristics of the BLUE RESPONSE TG.
The test fleet comprises a broad range of modern vehicles, including the Audi e-tron, BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz EQE, Mercedes-Benz G-Class, Toyota GR Yaris and Nissan GT-R R35. This range underscores the versatility of the new summer tyre – from premium electric vehicles to high-performance sports cars.
The DUNLOP BLUE RESPONSE TG has been specially developed for the latest vehicle platforms and combines an optimised tread design, a new rubber compound and a reinforced structure. This technical advancement is intended to ensure precise handling, short braking distances, high wet grip and low rolling resistance - aimed at drivers who value safety, comfort and sporting stability in both everyday use and in demanding situations.
“This is our first DUNLOP event since the acquisition, which is precisely why the launch of our summer tyre is so important to us,” explains Markus Bögner, president and managing director of DUNLOP Tyre Europe. “Direct interaction with customers and the media here on site is crucial for us, as it is the only way we can hear their perspectives and continue to develop in a targeted manner.”
