DUNLOP Motorsport has secured its second podium finish of the current season: Nico Menzel and Flynt Schuring celebrated second place overall at the 66th ADAC ACAS Cup, the ninth round of the 2026 ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). The Porsche duo, who had already finished fifth the day before, confirmed their strong performance on Sunday. Despite chaotic weather conditions and numerous incidents, Menzel and Schuring kept their cool and brought the black-and-yellow No. 17 Porsche 911 GT3 R across the finish line in second place.

Nico Menzel, who had already played a part in the first DUNLOP overall victory on the Nordschleife just under three months ago, laid the groundwork for another podium finish by securing third place on the grid in qualifying. The Nordschleife specialist was also behind the wheel of the DUNLOP Porsche at the start of the race; after the starting lights went out, he confidently defended third place overall and even briefly moved up to second place on the third lap. He then handed the wheel over to his teammate Flynt Schuring.

Shortly after the driver change, rain set in, making conditions in the “Green Hell” even more challenging: The slippery track caused numerous accidents and demanded the utmost concentration from the drivers. During this phase, the four-hour race turned into a tire strategy battle, in which the right tire choice became the decisive factor. The DUNLOP Motorsport team demonstrated just as much intuition as Menzel and the newly crowned Porsche Supercup champion Flynt Schuring, who was competing in only his second race behind the wheel of the DUNLOP Porsche. With the right strategy and a consistently strong pace, the duo held their ground until the end and celebrated second place overall after four hours.

The race was also extremely successful for the #632 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992.1) from BLACK FALCON Team FANATEC, which was also running on DUNLOP tires. Veteran driver Manuel Metzger, YouTuber Misha Charoudin, and the two Gran Turismo sim racers and content creators Steve Brown and Jimmy Broadbent not only celebrated the class victory in the AT2 class for alternative-fuel vehicles but also secured a strong 15th-place finish in the overall standings.

The ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series is entering the home stretch, as the 2nd NLS Sportwarte Trophy on October 10 is the only race remaining on this year’s calendar. The season finale on the Nordschleife marks the conclusion of an exciting motorsports season. The final race of the year will be run over the usual distance of four hours. Prior to that, qualifying (starting at 8:30 am) will determine the starting grid positions, and the race will begin at 12:00 pm.
