The DUNLOP BLUE RESPONSE TG has been named overall ‘Tyre of the Year’ for 2026-27 by WhatTyre, one of Europe’s leading independent tyre news and comparison sites.

As well as winning the overall ‘Tyre of the Year’ award, the DUNLOP BLUE RESPONSE TG was also named ‘Summer Tyre of the Year’ and ‘SUV Tyre of the Year’ by WhatTyre. The BLUE RESPONSE TG was launched earlier this year, the first tyre developed independently by DUNLOP since the company was acquired by Sumitomo Rubber Industries (SRI) in 2025.

DUNLOP also won two further WhatTyre category awards. The DUNLOP ALL SEASON 2 was named ‘All Season Tyre of the Year’, while the DUNLOP WINTER received the ‘Winter Tyre of the Year’ accolade.

SRI wants the tyre to capture significant market share quickly to re-establish the brand, and the BLUE RESPONSE TG could scarcely have made a more convincing entrance.”

These latest awards for the DUNLOP BLUE RESPONSE TG round off a successful few months for the new premium tyre. In March 2026, it won a key comparison test and was given an overall rating of ‘Outstanding’ by independent testers at Auto Motor und Sport, Germany’s leading automotive magazine for the European market. It has also received high ratings and recommendations from a variety of other tyre testers and automotive media since its launch.
